I am a dietitian, nutritionist and exercise physiologist. I specialise in weight management and the chronic diseases commonly associated with overweight and obesity. My PhD explored the psychology behind weight management and how health professionals can better support their patients to achieve long-term lifestyle change, such as improvements to diet, exercise, sleep, stress and mindfulness. I have been supporting people on their weight loss and health journeys for over ten years, working in a broad range of clinical fields including private practice, corporate health, gyms, hospitals and community-based settings. I was the first exercise physiologist to develop and provide services to Canberra’s only obesity management service. I worked at this world-class obesity service as both a dietitian and exercise physiologist for over 8 years. I am an Accredited Optifast Healthcare Professional and have extensive experience in nutrition for bariatric surgery, the Allurion gastric balloon and supporting patients while they take weight loss medications such as Saxenda and Ozempic. I have presented to many local GPs, dietitians, exercise physiologists, mental health workers and a broad range of other health care professionals on nutrition and exercise for weight management. I mentor and guide the incredible team of dietitians and exercise physiologists at Canberra Allied Health so that we can support you, our valued clients, consistently and reliably.
