You can find our most frequently asked questions about what to expect, what to bring and how much an appointment will cost below. If you cannot find what you’re after feel free to contact us via the form on this page or Contact Us. We are here to help!
At your first appointment you can expect to meet with your chosen practitioner at the time of your appointment. We respect your time and strive to run on time everytime. As a general rule we are never later than approximately 10 minutes. If you have booked a face-to-face consultation you will wait inside our clinic waiting room. If you have booked a telehealth consultation you will have the link to the telehealth consult sent to your email and phone within your reminder correspondence. We expect payment at the time of the appointment.
There are multiple ways to book appointments with us. You can book online, call our friendly team or email with your booking request. Booking online is easy as you can peruse our availability in your own time, but if you get stuck or need support we are more than happy to book you in over the phone or via email.
All of our practitioners are experienced, however each of them has a particular area of expertise which can be found in the Our Team biographies. If you would like further assistance, please call our receptionist to discuss which practitioner may be best suited to your needs.
If your GP has provided you dietetic or exercise physiology consults as part of your Chronic Disease Management Plan (also known as Team Care Arrangement or Enhanced Primary Care plan), you are entitled to a Medicare rebate on your consult fee. We can process Medicare rebates for you at the time of your appointment. Please be sure to bring your GP referral along with you when you attend our clinic so that we can process this for you.
This is highly individual and depends on your health care needs, but generally we see our valued clients on an ongoing basis. Most clients will come for 5 + appointments, but many we have been seeing monthly or every few months for many years. As we specialise in chronic conditions, ongoing accountability and support is most often required. In saying that, there are no rules or requirements to treatment, so if you are after a one-off consultation to snag some handy tips and advice, that is okay too!
Yes we offer a range of payment and rebate options. Medicare and private health fund rebates are available for those eligible. Our goal is to provide quality health care to all of our patients in a timely manner. No-shows, late arrivals, and cancellations inconvenience not only our providers, but our other patients as well. Please be aware of our policy regarding missed appointments.
Appointment Cancellation
When you book your appointment, you are holding a space in our calendar that is no longer available to our other patients. In order to be respectful of your fellow patients, please call the practice as soon as you know you will not be able to make your appointment. If cancellation is necessary, we require that you call at least 48 hours in advance. Appointments are in high demand, and your advanced notice will allow another patient access to that appointment time.
Late Cancellations/No-Shows
A cancellation is considered late when the appointment is cancelled less than 48 hours before the appointed time. A no-show is when a patient misses an appointment without cancelling. In either case, we will charge the patient the full consultation fee.
